Climamed is the name of the association which is created by Societies of Sanitary Engineers (APIRAC, ATECYR, AICARR and AICF) in Italy, France, Spain and Portuguese in order to arrange congress on HVAC matters. Climamed Congress has been arranged in Lisbon for the first time in the year 2004, and then was organized in Madrid, Lyon, Geneva and Lisbon in the years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009 respectively. Additionally; it has been announced that it will be held in Madrid in the year 2011.

Application of TTMD for the membership of Climamed and initiation of the relations were performed during Moscow Rehva General Assembly in May 2006. Term President Hüseyin Erdem declared that we requested membership of Climamed by holding a meeting with Climamed presidents together with Numan Şahin and Levent Alatlı during Rehva General Assembly and has applied for TTMD, Climamed 2008 verbally. Our request was forwarded to the association presidents of Climamed founder member countries (Italia, France, Spain and Portuguese) in writing and afterwards Numan Şahin and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Arısoy participated in Climamed 2006 Lyon meeting and had negotiations.

Climamed Board invited Turkey to Lisbon Congress of the year 2009 and provided opportunity for the presentation of Clima 2010. TTMD President Cafer Ünlü and Clima 2010 General Secretary Levent Alatlı attended the congress in Lisbon between the dates of 16 – 18 April, 2009 in order to make the presentation of Clima 2010 and negotiations regarding Climamed membership. Membership request of TTMD was repeated during Climamed Board of Meetings held during Congress.

At the end of the meeting; it was stated that the matter was taken as positive in principle; however some procedures should have to be performed. TTMD prepared and sent the necessary documents and after official correspondences, it was announced officially by Julio Cano that TTMD was accepted for the membership.

Climamed congresses will be held in Turkey alternately within the next years.
